Her Royal Majesty's Steampunk Symposium

Long Beach, on the Queen Mary. First time event.

Her Royal Highness, Queen Victoria, would like to invite all subjects of the Realm (Past, Present and Future) to a public Symposium of the latest Steam Inventions and Contraptions by some of the Finest Minds around the World.

Sonora Celtic Faire (hair braiding and accessories)

Mother Lode Fairgrounds, Sonora, CA. Usually held the weekend before St. Patrick’s Day.

Patrick Karnahan founded the Sonora Celtic Faire in 1987. First held in Sonora, Ca, then in Calaveras County, and in 2008 it moved back to Sonora. This faire is noted for its music, joust, living history area and vendors.

Nova Albion Steampunk Exhibition (men’s wear)

Hyatt Regency in Santa Clara, usually the third weekend in March.

They’ll have workshops, speakers, musical entertainments, exotic exhibits, and wonders of all kinds! There are three amazing vendor areas filled with hand-crafted clothing, jewelry, art, accessories, oddments of dubious origin and steampunkery galore!

Las Mariposas Civil War Days – History in the re-Making, one Battle at a time. (ladies & men’s wear)

Near Mariposa, CA, usually the third weekend in April.

Presented by the Las Mariposas Civil War Group in partnership with American Civil War Association, this event commemorates Civil War figure John C. Fremont, and the location of his 44,386 acre Las Mariposas Land Grant. A true revival of this period, the Las Mariposas Civil War Days are held on the actual site of this grant on over 60 acres of Longs' Mariposa Ranch, in the historical town of Mariposa,CA; nestled in the beautiful Sierra Foothills of Northern California. A fantastic event for the entire family, these event days are chocked full of true to life events & displays, live battles, and a complete day dedicated to educational programs.

Medieval Fantasy Festival (hair braiding)

Vacaville, CA, usually the closest weekend to Earth Day.

A Family Fair with a Celtic Flair. Fairies, wizards, dragons, elves, wee folk, and all other mythical beings are welcome. If you wish, come in costume as your favorite fantasy fiction character or as a traveler from the 6th through the 15th centuries.

Auburn Regional Park, Auburn, CA, usually Mother’s Day weekend.

Cain's Crossing is a fundraising event to sponsor educational activities in Placer and Nevada Counties. We aim to create a family-oriented community event which helps families experience the historical time period of the Renaissance.

Alameda Co. Fairgrounds, Pleasanton, CA, This has been held Labor Day weekend for 146 years.

Everything you can imagine from Clan tents, games, competitive dancing (Irish and Scottish), music, pipe bands, living history, birds of prey, sheep dog trials, Clydesdales, soccer, rugby and shinty… and food and vendors!

Historic Ardenwood Farm, Fremont, CA, usually the second weekend in Sept.

The rising young star of London's theater scene, Will Shakespeare, is without inspiration on material. What Will needs is a muse and whilst on progress with Her Most Royal Majesty, Queen Elizabeth, he finds himself surrounded by numerous quirky characters who draw him into an amazing, dramatic adventure of action and love. The theme of the Faire is Shakespeare's Muse.

Great Dickens Christmas Fair (hair braiding, ladies accessories, and men’s wear from hats to spats!)

The Cow Palace, San Francisco-Daly City, CA. Opens the Friday after Thanksgiving and runs until the Sunday before Christmas.

A holiday adventure into Victorian London, hundreds of costumed players, over 120,000 square feet of music halls, pubs, dance parties and Christmas shops on winding lanes. It's a twilight evening in Charles Dickens' London. Enticing aromas of roasted chestnuts and hearty foods fill the air. Cries of street vendors hawking their wares ring out above the bustling crowd. Dozens of lamp lit shops filled to overflowing with Christmas presents, much handcrafted.
